ARTIST STATEMENT

I started painting in my teens.

From childhood I have been fascinated with faces. For me, the face is the visual transmitter of our emotional life.

Clothing and background convey mood, atmosphere, etc.

What does a face say? Is it a longing? A dream of things past? Or a revelation of the present?

If I can reach within ourselves and hold before you that jeweled chalice that carries our soul, as an artist my mission is accomplished.
